Harry Potter Collect in Store

I haven't pre-ordered my Harry Potter this year as last year I found them in stores the day after publication for less money than I had paid for my Amazon copy.
This year I want to collect at 12.00pm in store. I don't want the whole HP experience and just want to quickly park up, run in and get my copy so I can start reading straight away, so wanted to get my copy from a local supermarket (sainsbury’s, tesco, asda).
What I am having trouble with is finding out which of my local supermarkets will be open and selling the book in the early hours of Saturday. Can someone help me with some advice of where to look for information on the www, or who I can ask?
Many thanks

I'll get it from Asda at midnight as I have done for the last 3 books:beer:0

Asda are actually advertising in-store that the HP books will be available at 12 midnight on Saturday the 21st - am I being thick or shouldn't this be Friday 20th at midnight?0

some WHSmith stores are open but I think they might be more expensive than 8.99.0

But that's midnight on Friday, surely? If someone told me to meet them at midnight on Saturday 21st, I'd be there on Saturday night, not Friday night.
According to yesterday's Daily mail, Adsa have annoyed Bloomsbury the publishers, who have threatened to stop Adsa's order of 500,000 Harry Potter books if they don't apologise and pay the balance of their LAST HP order!! Asda have capitulated, of course.
Borders in Swansea are going to stay open for the midnight launch (on Friday night!!) and are laying on entertainment etc.0 -

Technically, it's midnight Saturday, because the clock goes to 00:00 which is the beginning of Saturday. 23:59:59 is the last part of Friday.
However, I think a lot of people would think like you do and if someone said "meet me at midnight on Friday" they would show up at the end of Friday, not the end of Thursday.
That would be funny if Asda confused everyone and they showed up on the wrong time. I'm sure they're referring to the end of Friday/beginning of Saturday.0 -
I'm killing two owls with one rather large harry potter book:D
On Friday me and my friend will meet up in the evening and have a few drinks (whilst discussing what we think/want to happen), and then we will go and get our copy from the wh smiths in the town centre.
(by then the wizard hats will no doubt be on).
and then i will go home and no doubt read until i have finished the book.
I'm excited already.0 -
IF the scans that are bouncing around the 'tinternet are genuine, I liked the ending.
DON'T WORRY, I would not dare to give anything away.
Still have my copy from waterstones on order for delivery on Saturday, as well as maybe being caught up in the hype and could well be at tesco at midnight.
To anyone else who may be tempted by the scans, the fella has photographed each page at what is quite a low resolution so it is no easy and I PROMISE it is much better to wait.0
