Presumably you don't mean older sales? I'm not sure pics are included for them anyway.0 -
Because it shows everyone the layout of your home if they are thinking of breaking in...0

One reason is that it can be useful to confirm that the for sale house you are looking at now is the same house you are checking any previously sold price for.
I agree it is really useful to see the old pics, but i'd like to think it is the right of the owner of the property to remove internal pictures of their house and back garden from being published on the internet. Obviously the front exterior is fair game...snifflette wrote: »Because it shows everyone the layout of your home if they are thinking of breaking in...
exactly one of the issues i'd be concerned about0 -

We are talking about exterior views apparently.
Anyway, not sure how a few internal pics can give an indication of the layout - that's what floorplans are for.0 -

There are 2 issues - security and privacy issues.
I was surprised when I checked several websites earlier today that my house shows the internal pictures from the advert. However by clicking on the external image of the property it also then took me to when it was previously listed for sale in 2009.
Ok so the rooms are the same layout but I don't want people to be looking through the house when I come to sell it and thinking 'oh they haven't changed that wallpaper etc etc'
My neighbour does not have their external picture displayed and it was only sold 6 months agowhile other houses sold in mid 2000s are displayed so there must be a way to get the picture removed.
If I find out I will update this thread, but plan to contact Rightmove, Zoopla etc etcLife is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.
Take time but don't waste time0 -
if your neighbours house was only sold 6 months ago most likely it's not been updated yet, and it will be there eventually.
I don't think buyers are going to go trawling through the internet to see when the wallpaper was last done. In the grand scheme of buying and selling that sort of thing doesn't matter.0 -

Would that really worry you? Everyone who looks at your house will make value judgements about your choice of decor/furniture/kitchen cupboards and so on. Best not to be so sensitive about what people think.0
