EE (again!) Refund

Hi all,

Another issue in the ongoing problem with EE. I was sent a first bill for my services with this company which was incorrect. This was confirmed by the telephone and email that it should be £10 cheaper than the bill stated.

I've just checked my online banking and they've still claimed the incorrect amount. I've just called up and been told that they can credit the account but don't have to refund me.

I know it's only £10 but as it's their error, I would rather it was mine than theirs. I'm assuming the DD gaurantee can apply here and I can force this through to them?

They already owe me £60 cashback due to their errors which they claim will go straight into my bank account at the end of september so there is no point keeping more of my money!

Did the same for me, two months running, so we're probably not the only ones...
Remember the time he ate my goldfish? And you lied and said I never had goldfish. Then why did I have the bowl Bart? Why did I have the bowl?

EE did this with me too. My first ever bill should have been £15 or so but they tried taking £95. As I pay bills out of a separate account my bank declined them. It turns out they hadn't applied any of the offers, discounts or credits I should have gotten. They said even though the money hadn't been taken all they could do was credit my future bills which would work out about 5 months of no payments. I declined and simply cancelled the dd, then when the credits had been applied I rung to clear the negative balance and set up a new dd. They tried to charge me £2 admin but again I refused and they relented on this.
    Back by no demand whatsoever.
  • Oh joy!

I think I'll be calling them back and demanding it's refunded anyway as it's part of the DD gaurantee that it should be refunded if a mistake has been made.

I even have the email confirmation detailing what the amount should be so I don't see what the problem is! Admit the mistake and pay it back.

    You'd think that...
