my son has just bought a desktop pc and wants to connect to my internet,
my computer is in the attic and his is downstairs. what do i need so i can share my internet access. im on cable through virgin.

The usual set up is a wireless router and any pcs not near the router have wireless adapters (USB or PCI). The wireless adapters are simple enough, but for the wireless router your best bet is to first try to blag a free one off virgin."She is quite the oddball.
