Economy 7 hot water not working

Your storage heaters are not connected through 13A plugs are they?cherryblossomzel wrote: »Nothing labelled for heating
I would expect to see a fuse for each storage heater in the flat. I expect the two fuses in the water heater fuse box are for the peak and off-peak elements.cherryblossomzel wrote: »Me too. Are both the fuses in the "water heater" box (the top picture above, thanks for posting by the way) actually for the water heater, or is one maybe for the storage heaters?
I would say that is not enough to heat the tank, so the off-peak element is not working. Now you just need to find out if it is the fuse, the wiring, or the element that is broken.cherryblossomzel wrote: »From Saturday pm to this afternoon, so pretty much 4 full days, the low increased by about 3.2kWh and the normal by about 16kWh, so much more during the day than overnight.
You should get it fixed though because the top peak element will only heat a small amount of water at the top of the tank and it will cost you around 300% more than using the off-peak element.
Good luck, hope you get it sorted.:)cherryblossomzel wrote: »I'm renting, so I think I'll be giving the agent a call to send someone round.
Thank you so much for you help.0
