What can I do with herby cream cheese

that doesn't involve crackers or making it into a pasta or some sort? Snack, or main meal, any suggestions welcome.
Thanks

If you make pizza mix it up with the dough.

  • mix into mashed potato instead of butter to make it creamy, put inside chicken and wrap with bacon, mix with stock and mustard to make a nice sauce for pork.

Make some breadcrumbs, mix in some spring onions, a beaten egg, herbed cream cheese and some grated ordinary cheese, use to stuff big mushrooms or courgettes. Then just bake in oven.
Or a savoury bread and butter pudding.

Use it to make a garlic baguette with a twist? Obviously have to add garlic if it doesn't contain it already.

  • I make a scrummy soup - Red Pepper and Cream cheese - using Philly Garlic and Herb cream cheese. Here's the recipe if you fancy trying it:

    1 lge onion chopped
    2 red peppers chopped
    2 celery stalks chopped
    1 carrot chopped
    1 tbs paprika
2 veg stock cubes dissolved in 1 pint water
7 oz pack garlic and herb cream cheese (lo-fat if on a diet!)

Sweat onion, pepper, celery and carrot for 5 mins. Add paprika and cook gently for 1 min. Add stock and simmer approx 30 mins. Liquidise till smooth. Add soft cheese and blend a further 15 secs. Season to taste.

We love it and much nicer than recipe makes it sound!

  • I add it to soups and tomato sauces. Could also make a nice sauce for chicken or stuff chicken with. You could make pan fried garlic mushrooms and mix a little in at the end.

  • I'd make Russian vegetable pie. The cream cheese is used in the pastry and in the filling. Herby cream cheese would work really well. The recipe sounds a bit odd but is delicious.
