incorectly charged

Despite paying by direct debit one of my card providers has just slapped me with a late payment charge on the same day they took the DD from my account.

I have contacted them and they did refund the charge but the late payment charge is still showing on my account. I am concerned that this will end up on my credit report(s) as I am looking to remortgage in the next few months.

Any advice?

have done, all they say is 'it has already been reversed'

One charge like this (particularly if shown as a reversal on next statement) should not make a difference to any mortgage application.
