Vent - national lottery

New national lottery website launched with a big fanfare yesterday evening.

At no point during development did they notice that the new website doesn't let you add funds to play the lottery.

Now 24 hours later it's still broken meaning I had to go to the shop to buy a ticket! As yet they have no resolution.

Absolutely ridiculous and their last tweet on the issue was "technology is unpredictable"......

What a bunch of clowns!

Their last tweet on the issue was

    "Technology is unreliable".

It doesn't fill me with confidence!

I'm not convinced you did. The lottery have tweeted about it with the following message.

@TNLUK: @vmadm1n Hi there, so sorry you're still running into problems. It's a known issue, and we're working hard to fix it.

It's been down over 24 hours now
  • I added funds and paid for a couple of tickets around 6.30 this evening. Must admit, I didn't notice I'd run out of funds until I tried to buy a ticket - the funding screen came up immediately to allow me to carry on.

Just been back in to the site to check - the Add Funds button is directly below the Log In and Register part (upper right of screen).

They just say they're aware of the issue and are trying to resolve it. Nothing about the volumes but pretty much every tweet they receive is about this issue

I only like to play every now and again when I fancy a daydream of winning millions so a DD is not suitable for me!

Its not affecting everyone. I also added funds Monday night but it was a faff - wasn't working on either FF or IE11 with my TSB debit card. After many attempts, I changed the debit card to my NatWest one and added the funds fine (can't remember which browser I used for that).

After buying my tickets I also played an instant game, won £5 on that and withdrew those funds straightaway and the £5 is already cleared in my account.
