MET parking fine question

Hi, My hubby got a parking ticket today - he was parked in a Mcdonalds car park for 15 minutes and got a ticket saying he was parked without authorisation. He had parked intending to eat there but decided to go into KFC which was next door. Is he able to appeal this ticket? The fine is for £50 which seems a lot as was not in the car park for very long? Any advice please.

    It's NOT a fine!

Advice -read the newbie thread (see my signature) and follow the advice there to appeal. It tealks you through the process.
Newbie thread: go to the top of this page and find these words: Main site > MoneySavingExpert.com Forums > Household & Travel > Motoring > Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. As ever, this is covered in the sticky thread at the top of this parking forum - which is why I wrote it. Sadly, last year it got silly as we could not keep up with all the ''help I have got a private parking ticket, what do I do?'' threads so I wrote a sticky thread BEGGING newbies to 'read these FAQS first'.

The same sticky thread tells you how to win at POPLA and explains what that is...you have overlooked what was under your nose all the time, in capitals at the top. :)
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
