Batch overdraft charges

Hi all


My bank today decided to charge me 5 overdraft fees in one go covering November last year to July this year. There is nothing in my terms and conditions stating they will or won't do this. I am not disputing the charges because they are correct but I do think it is unfair they have decided to do it all in one go. Are they allowed to do this?

Read your terms and conditions about overdraft fees. There may be terms saying they must give you at least X days notice or that they will be applied in Y days.

Your only strong argument will be if they state absolute values variable ones (ie it will be charge on the 28th day -v- it will be charged no sooner than the 28th day).

Of cause you can always just use the weak argument about "fairness" and hope that the normal complaint response of shut up money kicks in rather than allowing a small complaint going to the FOS
