Have been told by pcs that martin lewis is wrong

my hubby came and picked me up one day by the beach I am disabled so need help I had been with friends
we were only a couple of minutes
when we got back we had a ticket
the car park is pay and display and has no bay areas it is just grass and sand and thought we were not in the car park and would be fine on the other bit with blue badge
we used the template in an email and was told it was not an appeal and blue badges are nothing as 75% are being used by people who are not disabled
I did not hear anything else until this morning when I had a letter from pcs demanding £120
I phoned up pcs to be told martin lewis does not know what he is talking about and just making things worse for everyone:eek:

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker Mortgage-free Glee!
Oh ignore the stupid pcs person man. He is talking out of his probably rather large posterior.

So when you sent first appeal and got rejection did you get a POPLA code?

PCS are DRP and arent even a parking company, they are a debt collector so what do they know ?

you need to be dealing with the PPC, not some debt collector with no powers

you most certainly should not be phoning debt collectors up
Debt Recovery Plus Ltd also t/as Parking Collection Services

Martin Lewis certainly is making things worse for everybody, if by 'everybody' you mean the PPC industry.

Martin Lewis is not always right.
He advised people to put all their savings in Icelandic banks just before they all went bust.

And who is the parking company? Doesn't sound like ParkingEye, it's one of the small West Country cowboys I'd guess?

By everyone he means the parking companies and their scumbag debt collectors! We have no vested financial interest in you paying this ridiculous charge, they do!

Why would they put cement on a car park?

    Llawnroc.

Complain to BPA and DVLA that they rejected your appeal without issuing a PoPLA code.

They can't pick and choose what an appeal is, you've appealed they are in breach of the bpa CoP and the dvla kadoe agreement, complain to both of them, enclose a copy of the rejection letter that shows no popla verification code.

    This what the dvla says
“the following practices may be considered as Code breaches and must not be continued:
    • Asking the motorist to enter into additional correspondence to obtain a POPLA code
    • Failing to include a correct and/or valid POPLA Code within the Rejection correspondence
    • Issuing a POPLA Code with a date identifier which is significantly different from the date of rejection
    • Appearing to indicate that the issue of a POPLA Code is conditional on driver details being supplied “
