What is a reasonable time to wait for a refund?

I've been offered a full refund for money I paid toward a trip that's no longer happening, but I've been told I have to wait till November to receive it because they are a charity (though I can't find them in the register of charities).
To me, that seems an unreasonable length of time. Do I have any options here other than just wait?

How did you pay? what is the reason for such a delay?
You may need to go down a formal route i.e. court but it would take longer than just waiting. I suggest your best course of action is to make a nuisance of yourself, they will probably pay quicker to get you to go away.Thinking critically since 1996....0 -
I don't understand how them being a charity means you have to wait until November!0
