A3 Printer?

With Students returning to college around now, including no1 son, all advice re laptops appreciated.

What about Printers?
Any advice for good choice for A3 Printer - drawings and sketch/design work, not necessarily photos.

Thx

Although it’s primarily set up for your small office’s A4 printing, scanning and copying jobs, this compact and stylish printer—including a 4.5cm touchscreen—is also capable of occasional A3 prints when you want to make a big impact. Includes Wi-Fi, cloud and mobile device connectivity.

Wait and see what the Uni has first, we have some great printers here both A3 and larger formats, it may work out cheaper to use them and pay print than buy a printer and ink.
  • I've got the brother MFCJ6520DW and it is really good. I'm an engineer so i do alot of markups and sketches and send them to cad when ever i work com home. The drawbacks are that it has only one tray so you have to manually change between a4 and a3 but that only takes a few seconds, slow printing on high settings and the color accuracy is slightly off (with me anyway). The ink lasts for an age though with xl cartridges. I've done close to 1000 pages and the cartridges are still half full.
