HELP Foxes using my garden as a toilet

We've noticed most morning being greeted by fox poo in the garden

have googled it and loads of solar powered "sonic" / high frequency deterrents on the market

Question : do they work?
please share your experiences of getting rid of this garden pest, successes and failures. all welcome.

I need to sort this out ASAP , as all the hard work Ive put into my veg beds and flower beds will be pointless.

thank you in advance

It may be an old wives' tale, but I was told this weekend by someone who keeps chickens that they were told male human urine would scare them off.

NO idea whether there is any truth in this!

    I've been Money Tipped!
Male urine helps a little. Dogs help more.

    Otoh.

For the first time this late summer we have no foxes. And we have for the first time rabbits! You win some and you lose some!

Male urine does work. You can also buy fox strips that fix along the top of your fence but no good if you have a cat

Marking your territory does indeed help, but I am not sure that my next door neighbour appreciated me waving at her with my free hand as I was performing the task:eek:
  • ok, not sure neighbours are ready that, most have those PIR lights-front and back, one has CCTV!

foxes are doing their business in both front and back gardens. so those fence strips unfortunately wouldn't work.
they are getting into to the back via the gate (Open stylie).

so ,,,,,any other ideas , please keep them comng

We have the same problem. It only started after the cat died.

I think we need a new cat.

erm, use a bottle inside and then sprinkle without risk of the Old Bill being called?
  • Male Human Urine - This does work - has kept the foxes off my bins for the last year - took an age to persuade OH to do it though:rotfl:
we used a bottle for decency's sake.
Don’t try to keep up with the Jones’s. They are broke!

We have also noticed in the last week or so that the local fox/foxes have decided that our garden is ideal for their new toilet.

Now to convince hubby and sons that I need them to pee in a bottle - I'm sure the 5 and 10 year old will think its hysterical. At least it means I wont be screaming at them to lift the seat, put the lid down and flush.

    Any other suggestions welcome.
