Don't forget all you're 'lifesaver' should checks. Even as you pull away from parking bay into the Mod 1 test area and similarly when you've completed your mod1 and returning to parking bay. Also shoulder check before every set off before each manoeuvre.
Make sure you're definitely in neutral before attempting the push of bike from one bay to another. If it's not, you'll have to hold clutch in throughout...
On the figure-of-eight, go really wide to the sides. Trying to pull a tight manoeuvre just makes it more difficult than need be. So long as you don't hit the cones or put a foot down, they can't fault you for doing a super huge figure-of-eight.
Before the speed traps tests (e-stop & swerve) you'll be asked to ride around the corner and through the speed gun. As you complete this, ask the examiner how fast you were going - it has no bearing on test, but is a useful gauge of whether you need more beans or not for the next two manoeuvres where you need to hit 50Km/h.
You'll get loads of distance to do the emergency stop, so don't panic brake - you risk ABS cutting in, pulling an endo or maybe a skid.
On the swerve: don't look at the cone you're avoiding - look at the space you want to ride through! In fact, always look where you want to go. This is so important and causes many to fail, I'll say it again - LOOK WHERE YOU WANT TO GO!0 -
Arfa has it pretty nailed.

Also if you get there a bit early, sit and watch the others before you. Not sure if this is the same everywhere, but in the test centre I had the waiting room overlooked the whole compound.0

On the e-stop and swerve, STAY IN SECOND GEAR!!! Otherwise (on a 125 at least) you will struggle to accelerate.
Agree with going wide on the figure of eights.
Also, pick your spot for the U-turn. Basically, when you do your lifesaver over your shoulder, look for a feature in the distance that you can only just see over your right shoulder. Focus on it in the u-turn. I mean FOCUS!!! You won't fall off, and you'll realise that you've done the U-turn tighter than you ever have before.
I did my test on a Suzuki Intruder 125. It's a cruiser type machine that people over on bikechatforums.com were saying was very difficult to do the u-turn on.
It took me 3 goes to get my Mod 1 sorted, but my Mod 2 was a doddle! :T
Go over to bikechatforums dot com and ask again. They're a really helpful bunch of people who want you to pass.

Actually go "super wide" on your figure of eights and you could well fail!
I am a bike examiner and we will use our judgement/experience/pee-take measuring device.
My advise, listen to what your instructor says, listen to the brief you get for each exercise and if your not 100% ask, and try and stay loose.

Interesting. The super wide thing was advice I was given by my instructor prior to taking the Mod 1 myself. I definitely did a figure-of-eight that was wider than was long (and passed first time). But obviously, if someone took up half the width of the test area I could understand them getting a fail.0
