i cant see a picture but thats probably because I am at work
Maris Piper's are main croppers and need approximately 16-20 weeks, with good weather conditions, so you'd be unlikely to get anything decent. Having said that, I dont suppose its impossible if they were grown in a bag in a greenhouse?
There are second cropping potatoes which you can plant out now to get a yield for christmas, but this is my first year doing that do I dont really have any constructive advice for that, other than have a look see what the garden centres have in now. They are a good indicator for whats good to go in now and whats notI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards. I've seen Charlotte and Duke of York seed pots from chrismas in the garden centres. Come out at around 25p each. Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

Queen of Cheap is right. Maris Piper is a maincrop potato and you won't get a decent crop from them in time for Christmas. Our local garden centre has the early varieties Maris Peer, Duke of York amd Charlotte all at 5 for a pound. I planted them in pots a couple of weeks ago and they are already up. For now they are outside, I will move them inside to finish off when the weather cools down.
It is worth, however, planting Maris Piper for an Easter crop. Put them in in a few weeks time, grow on under glass through the winter to give them frost protection and enjoy on Easter Sunday.0
