I've discovered a glitch on an online shop at Tesco, using their current £3 off a £15 spend on Beauty & Toiletries code.

Be quick, it is only for deliveries on or before 7th September 2014 (you may be able to do a click and collect instead?)

See this thread for the code to use:

https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/66404812#Comment_66404812

It seems to work on half price and '2 for £' and '3 for £' offers. (It may work on more, I haven't tried them all).

It worked on Radox BOGOF offer, so should work on other buy one get one free offers - thanks to shirley999 for pointing that out

Basically they currently have a 'spend £15 and get £3 off' offer on their health and beauty section.

However, I have worked out that you don't actually have to spend the full £15 to get £3 off.

If you choose items that are currently on offer it is seeing the BEFORE price as your spend total.

So for example if you were to buy the following:

3 x Sure Women Deodorant at £3.29 each = £9.87
(any 3 for £5)

2 x Colgate Toothpaste at £2.49 each = £4.98
(any 2 for £3)

1 x Bath Essentials Exfoliating Gloves at £1.00 each = £1.00
(not on offer, just used this to make the spend over £15)

Total cost before savings = £15.85

Total cost after special offer deductions (£6.85) = £9.00

minus £3 for spend £15 code offer

TOTAL TO PAY = £6.00

If you need to round up the 'before' total to £15 or more, try adding a cheap item. It does not have to be a special offer item. It could be a bar of soap, panty liners, paracetamol etc. It just needs to be from the Health & Beauty category.

TIP: Make sure your BASKET total is over £25 otherwise a £4 charge is added. The special offer price is deducted from the basket total.

Experiment by mixing and matching any items that are on special offer and included in the Health & Beauty section.

Don't forget to check that your final choices work and that it has not removed the code as some offers may not be accepted, or it may have reduced the total to under £15.

I will confirm it works when I get my order later today.

Good luck.

See post #2 for the departments etc.

    The departments are:

    oral care
    hair care
    bath & shower
    skincare
    deodorants
    razors & blades

There are a few more departments in the Health & Beauty section. I don't know if these apply as well e.g.

The other departments for Health & Beauty are:

    mens toiletries
    feminine care
    suncare & travel
    healthcare
    perfume & aftershave
    hairdryers & straighteners

I did quickly try a babyliss straightener at £15 reduced to £7.50 but it did not work. Might be worth trying it with something else to take it OVER £15 (I had already used the code so was unable to find out if it worked that way).

There were also some perfume gift sets with same price reductions but these weren't available in my area to check if they worked.

There is no reason why this shouldn't work, Tesco tend to include the original price before offers and then allows you to use the discount code.

The same happened a while ago with the £5 off household and also a wine one that did the same.

Thanks for posting though, just done a cheeky order for delivery tomorrow :T

Just checked out my order and none of my promotions are showing, they are all showing as full price

    For example :

Carex Handwash was £1.80 now half price @ 90p, still showing as £1.80

I called Tesco and said that I am checking out at £30 but once all promotions are taken off it will only be £15 (minus £3 voucher) and she said that the £4 would be added as my basket will be under £25 but I said that means I need to go through all of my basket and add up what it should be and then add stuff to make it up to £40 to eventually get it at £25 and she said yes which is a bit of a faff but all done now, lets see what tomorrow brings :rotfl:

I tried to say that it wasnt my fault that the promo's are not showing and that I would actually be checking out at £30 but she said that they will definitely add the £4 unless I get it up to £40

No glitch but did get 32 x 200ml Tesco cotton deodorant for £25.60 with the £3 off and a £1 delivery slot. We are a family of 5 so this is a worthwhile saving. The huge Tesco extra by me doesn't do click and collect and the nearest one that does is 5 miles away.

Edit: even better saving as all but 5 were substituted with soft & gentle which costs £1.25 a tin.

After the £3 off code, Radox bath 500ml: 10 for £4.50 as they are £1.50 BOGOF and go into the basket at full price. The catch is that you have to spend £25 to avoid the £4 service charge.

Thats not a catch, Tesco has always added £4 if your basket is less than £25.

The issue is that there is an error on there website so no promotional savings are coming off.

I called Tesco and they said that even though my basket of offers says £40 it will actually be £25 when it is delivered tomorrow.

I ordered £30 of half price toiletries (so will be £15 when picked) minus the £3 code and then added £13 off groceries making the total £40 at the moment (£43-£3 code) but will be £25 tomorrow.

Looks like there was a fault on the system for you all. I think it is fixed now as the Carex handwash is coming up at the reduced price.
