    I sympathise Dave. Weather is crap but it's sunny in my heart:rotfl:

    Anyway I have something that might cheer you up. But it will have to wait. I have a much more pressing issue.

    I'm having problems with flies:mad::eek::mad:

    These little blighters.......bigger than corn flies......look like a tiny house fly, appeared on our bathroom floor on Thursday. They came suddenly and are reappearing every time we clear them up. They are on the floor just outside the shower. Nowhere near the shower plug hole. They seem worse just after having a shower.

    I cleared them this morning and put the shower on and watched. I swear they just appeared from nowhere. Mr TM has sealed up every single orifice but we can't find out where they are coming from:mad:

    I've googled it and there's a lot of references to drain flies but no answers.

    There are no smells and the area is dry.

    Please help elite

  • Hi Everyone, didn't get to post this morning because my lappie decided not to cooperate!

    Lovely sunny day here.

    We will be sampling the top of the Christmas cake for pud tonight, always cut the top off and start feeding it brandy as soon as it is cold. It will be rather strange though, only have to cut the top in two this time. First it was 4, then DS left home, then it was 3, then DD left home, now it is just us two. It is very peaceful though :D

    CoT.....thanks so much for that. There's some good suggestions. What's puzzling me is the fact that there are no flies whatsoever in the shower tray....ie no trail . They are all outside the shower. They appear when the shower is on ie water is running ing down the plug hole.

    However I'm going to tape up the plug hole now and will feed back.

    Thanks:beer:

  • Afternoon all, am late on here today!

    Had a truly awful nights sleep - was still awake at gone 3am. I don't know whether to ask the Dr for something, as my sleeping is getting really bad now, and I'm going back to work this week. I did look at some reviews for nytol, which weren't great, but it also said on the NHS site you shouldn't use it if you have urinary difficulties or retention, which I do. Arghhhhhhh!

    Anyway, I was a nice Mum and made a special trip into town for the free lego for DS (16 but still loves lego!). He especially wanted todays as its ninja turtles, and he is at work or else I would have made him go himself!

    Am knackered, but determined not to sleep in the day in the hope I'll sleep tonight, but we'll see!
