    Not heard this for years! This quote was a very popular saying in our house when i was a child growing up, i carried it on to my children too but with the world being as it is nowadays i would be very aprehensive if my grandchildren were to follow suit..:(

    We were lucky enough to have brilliant schools close by, if we hadn't then we would have done the same.

    We do all we can for our kids because we love them, quite frankly the best is not good enough for mine :)

    That said, my grandson is starting school very soon, and they have opted for a school I would not have sent my kids to, I just hope it has improved in that time, DS seemed to quite like it when he went to look around anyway :)

    We were lucky with DD2 that we still have grammar schools here AND she passed her 11+. It's sooooo different to the secondary school DD1 went to as she's not academic :(
