Thanks I've been to Protarus before and loved it, we're just south of there this timeI'm :j because 2 weeks ago I was just planning a mini uk break alone and now I'm off abroad for a week
And I've just noticed I've got 4 stars :TThere comes a time in every woman's life when the only thing that helps is a glass of champagne ... Bette Davis0 -
That article was such poop. The comparisons weren't even justified and she totally made a judgement call on people buying loads of choc oranges. Greedy were they? Or did a lot of us donate them and give poor families a treat at Christmas?
And even if we didn't, this lady needs to get off her ten foot high horse and try struggling for money once in a while....
I did wonder about her comparisons tbh. Also, I was under the impression that Ts regularly has 1p items. They know this, the reducer person knows this and while they allegedly don't like it, it happens too often for it to be a big issue for them. Supermarkets regularly use loss leaders as a strategy to get people to buy and I would see it as one of those. (Same with the morries vouchers.)
They are still raking it in so can't be such a serious problem. And tbh, if a muggle got a high APG coincidently what would stop them doing the same shop again? I know we target shop but there's also regular stuff to be bought, mocs etc. Does she want it all to stop and for us all to suffer high prices?
I know too that many people donate extras to food banks, shoebox appeal etc. Far easier for people to donate to those who can't help themselves if you haven't been reduced to being one of them too!0 -

BBC News has moved channels on Freeview (we weren't paying anything for that, other than the TV licence itself) and Youview (don't know anything about that) - they have a scrolling caption with details of a link on how to retune. What is the point of that? Are they still on the old channel for those who haven't yet retuned?0

For anyone who currently has a trial of Amazon Instant Video, there's an entire section called 'I Remember That!'. It's full of brilliant children's TV, I've already watched a bit of Bertha, The Racoons, Dr Zitbag's Transylvania Pet Shop and the Shoe peopleDebt free 6th December 2014
