Afternoon all
Happy birthday lovely dipdap. Going shopping for anything in particular?
This morning's culinary test was a simple banana smoothie with almond butter. Very tasty it was too. You don't even need to add sweetener to it because all the sweetness comes from banana
Can I just ask if anyone on here- Westie I'm sort of looking at you- uses soya milk or almond milk instead of the regular stuff?
I'm used to semi-skimmed but I know this stuff would probably be better. What say you?
Unsweetened almond milk or the coconut milk which I believe is still a quid in T's Both are a fantastic base for smoothies - try chucking in half an avocadoHealthy fats :T:T
Actually did hear somewhere if you were going to have cows milk then best go for full fat over semi and skimmed. The fat in it helps satiety - the absence of hunger; it is the sensation of feeling full . Anything that says low fat or 0% fat - think chemical !!!! stormAvoid. I no longer have muller lust or my recent favourite Danios.
Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.

Another vote for macs. but only second hand as this is MSE and they charge a brand premium. They work a treat , keep going for ages, are really user-friendly.
Only downside is when you switch to an upgraded model or Operating System, your old software, (especially the paid for stuff) may sometimes not run on the next OS, and you may have to buy upgraded software as well. They keep that a bit quiet so you may have to search the internet for info.
You can get shareware that gets around that, more info elsewhere in the main site.
im surprised youve not got mac haters already saying no to mac. (people who have never used a mac are the worst lol)
an issue with the 2013/2014 models is that you CANNOT upgrade the ram. it's soldered onto the mobo
the hard drives are ssd so make the whole unit faster than a cat on speed.
you can upgrade the ssd but that is all you can change.
the newer macbooks have faster charging and better batteries
apple are over priced but to be fair, its also somewhat worth the money.
gumtree/ebay are places to look. i got mine from the us, new, last year. uk cost was £1600 us cost was $2000. at the time it worked out about £1100. customs never questioned me about it - then again, customs aren't particularly good at their job anyway.0 -

I'm not wishing to have an argument here, but I can't help but think your activities are going to end in tears GG - I'm not basing this on anything other than my own personal gut feeling
The general consensus on here (and I'm not claiming to speak for everyone, or anyone in fact) seems to be that staying under the radar is better practice in order to protect the future of what we do. This seems like a sensible, balanced approach to me, though I appreciate the difference in opinion
I suppose my first fear would be that I'd be more likely to be ear-marked as a fraudulent person (and I appreciate that I am already running that risk, but I doubt they're going to pay attention to someone who has a few free bottles of shampoo, but someone who has a few free TV's is a different matter).
The second would be that certain deals like this are cancelled or not rolled out to other stores so that others can take some advantage of it, based on my own activity of getting free stuff from Tosco to the tune of £000's (I assume) - I suppose this is where I am a bit soft. I do tend to think though that this thread is more of a 'help each other out' ethos, rather than a 'get as much as I can and stuff everyone else' ethos...I can't help but think that your activities fall into the latter category
I'm not being judgemental, it is really interesting to read about what you are doing and I wish you well with it, but I don't think I'll be following suite for the reasons above
Sorry for the long post
no reason to apologise. you're allowed your opinion just as long as youre not talking down to anyone like other people on here.......
everything ive got from tesco is what I have needed. there is nothing i bought that i have sold. yes, i have given things away but thats the person i am.
i am carbooting/selling the jf stuff. im not really into that stuff and there is only so much people will take for free......weirdly.
again, i am not using copied/reprinted vouchers.
i know for sure that would ruin this.
i am encouraging everyone to jump on the band wagon. you cant be sure they would even roll it out.
you dont have to go do £500 in a shop......go do £10 or £20 or something. i needed a new freezer. i was running 3 at home and they were pretty old costing a fortune to run. this one costs under £50 a year to run and I then had to fill it.
I have a lifetime supply of toilet paper (unless someone in the house suddenly gets ibs eh?)
i have a few washing liquid tabs and about 5000 teabags. (mother LOVES tea)
my dad loves his coffee so had to get him coffee
little brother wants a ps4 but i'll probably get that elsewhere. tesco inflate prices on electrical items.
i dont think gift cards are disallowed. so far managed to get enough to cover shopping for the next 6 months.
i have no intention of ruining anything. im simply using asda vouchers in tesco as they allow.
if they let me use more than one per transaction then it saves them time really0 -

two months to wait?????
Always the same with T IMO - delay as much as possible. This should be treated as an interest free loan from us to them, even though it's "only" 50p lol:rotfl::rotfl:. But, even so, 50ps, for a large number of customers, do add up. I wouldn't even be surprised if the CC points, if it's that option, don't even appear on the November statement and you end up having to ring CS to add them on, delaying the payout even more, by a further three months. I assume you have to buy a Coca Cola that costs more than 50p. In which case, no, absolute firm no: I'm not doing it! It's all promotion incentives that make them more money and cost us money.(:rotfl::rotfl:)0 -

Kind of depends what you are going for. Fri and sat I would aim for 9am ish as they reduce quite well first thing, so good for the weekend's meat, sausages, veg etc (usually about 11 am on Sun). Also cakesLast reductions seem to be a bit more hit and miss as to timings and in my store not much makes it through to finals so I would only pop in by chance if passing. Prefer T for evenings as they do 90% at around 7pm and seem to have much more left.

Afternoon all:).
I've been away resisting all weekend from posting essays to here. No in fact I've been doing other things, that needed doing. Only womble today - a receipt dated the end of February:mad: of all times! Who on earth keeps receipts for 6-7 months before bringing them back to A and leaving them in the trolley? Why? I just don't understand!
I didn't go at the right time though, but I needed fresh produce before it sold out and messed up my plans.
Meanwhile, a rare Sains. Basics item that is actually worth its price, assuming anything is "worth" any price at all. Sains Basics Loose Apples £1/kg. Other than this, not much. Virtually all their Basics stuff more expensive, and sometimes much more expensive, than the competition. Even the Rubber Gloves have increased again, by a 5p now (although they still remain 'cheaper' than elsewhere and, therefore, buy elsewhere to use APG - but, again, why? As you bought them months ago and only so many that anyone can own).0
