My head's a bit mashed with all these thoughts of dogs dying a slow painful death
I see that some of the people who thanked my original post have in other posts clearly expressed a different opinion. I'm curious why people would thank a post if they don't agree with what's said in the post  I only thank posts for one of the following reasons:
I agree with what's being said in the post
The post provides me with useful or interesting information
I like a picture or what the post is saying
I sympathise with whatever is being told in the post
I wouldn't thank a post if I disagreed with it so really can't get my head round this and would appreciate if anyone can enlighten me why some people do this :huh:0 -

Hiya:wave:
Not sure if this helps but I tend to thank all posts when I am on line and posting. I used to thank every single post but it becomes too much of a burden. I still thank posts that I don't agree with as people have put time and effort into making their point known and I appreciate hearing all points of view. I may disagree with them but I can still thank them for contributing to the thread.
I would never knowingly thank something that was racist , offensive or deliberately provocative but sometimes I do it automatically anyway:o

Some people just use the thanks button to show they've read that post and to keep their place in the thread.
Personally I don't tend to thank much as I find it causes problems if people read too much into it, it can become a popularity contest for some people, and I don't have the time if I'm skimming through at work.0 -
