afternoon all,
dd1 and family have decided to stay for tea , which due to some reminiscing is home made pizza, with sweetcorn fritters and oven over cooked jacket potatoes, and apple crumble again:D
it so funny how kids remember things differently to adults, ds3 is quite a bit younger than the rest and they were saying he was not around when we were poor. I said he is the lucky one then, they said no it taught them all a lot, and they had a lot of fun and learnt to be creative,:) the one thing they remember is running out of bread and nothing much in house so i had a tin of sweetcorn and an egg and a slice of ham mixed them together with flour and made giant sweetcorn fritters and we sat in the garden and ate them
:o, I did not remember but they all did and every week making a tiny piece of leftover meat go over several home made pizzas with thick bases but nearly no topping:eek: and cooking potatoes in the fire as we were low on electric
so tonight dinner is for ds3 to see what he missed..:rotfl: 0 -
Good afternoon everyone.
Hope all is well.
It was a big day in the stinky residence this morning.
Lil stink had his 1st morning at big school today. :j
I'm not ashamed to say I shed a little tear as I walked away, he looked so tiny.
On the plus side he was really excited and super confident so we must have done something right. :T
I haven't been on for what feels like ages, no chance of a catch up so I'll start from here if that's ok.
