OH is changing his car and I told him he couldn't until we taxed itI'll tell him later I was wrong. I'm not particularly wanting to admit to being wrong about anything whilst he still in grovel mode

I may have missed this info so sorry if you know already.
When you sell a vehicle after 1st October yo have to surrender the car tax as it can not be sold on with the vehicle
Same with buying a car - you have to tax it immediatelyfairclaire wrote: »Yes same as OHs. He got his renewal thingy today. That's what got me all excited and I read the thing about the tax discs wrong.
Sadly we still get to pay it......we just don't get a disc
They're supposed to be offering a pay monthly option now too but no mention of that on the letter. I'd rather pay in one go. It hurts but I prefer one big hurt to lots of little ones :rotfl:
There will be an DD form option on the reminder to fill in, or you will be able to get a DD form from PO.
3 options
1 year DD
12 monthly payments DD
½ year DDOur Family Motto ~If all else fails - read the instructions...

Yes I did know this. That's why I was looking up all the info again. I didn't know whether you had to apply for your refund of tax yourself when you sold a car or not. Apparently it will be automatic. Presumably when you inform them the vehicle has been sold?
I expect the DD options will be on reminders from next month? There isn't anything on the one I got today.0 -

Yes the quicker you send in your V5 with the new owners details on the better
Buyer will then have the V5C (green slip) to tax the car with. Our Family Motto ~If all else fails - read the instructions...

Thank you
That's the easy part sorted out. When I say OH is changing his car, I mean he is choosing a new car. The rest is left to me:rotfl::rotfl:

2 for £2 cleaning offer (of which 81/88 items on msm), including Harpic Active Freshes (750ml), Fairy WULs (530ml and 383ml) and Mr Muscles, is no longer appearing on a.com. I have no products showing with the offer when I search for them on a.com, although when I view, for example, one of the Mr Muscles (Bathroom & Toilet Citrus Cleaner 500ml) I can see two other Mr Muscles in the panels down the left hand side of the screen - shower cleaner and one other - that do have "2 FOR £2.00" offer on red background showing. However, when I press on the offer, no products come up on the screen it then goes to.
Is the offer now over? Or - they are currently showing 2 for £2 on msm:( - will the mbuys loss filter through and the mbuys disappear off msm? Either way, as long as the offer is either finishing or disappears off msm, I see this as a good thing: either it will stop making A cheaper and stop us losing on wombles (thank goodness this offer is over) or, if it is still on, but if mbuys disappear on msm, then it gives glitch time. Worst option seems to be for the mbuys to continue on msm.
If there are no triggers, I for one will be happy to see the back of this offer as it has previously cost me so much on wombles - though I understand some of the products are now available at T at £1 each, and therefore do not subtract money from the APG on 2 for £2 (providing the rest of the items compare good vs T, i.e. no £2.00 Cathedral cheese:mad:), overall the 2 for £2 cleaning has had a nasty habit of making A a lot cheaper and of course they tend to buy the mbuy on my wombles:(.
I was originally looking at some 'strange' pricing on the Cif Wood Floor Cleaner (1L) - sadly no good comp. as T is full price at the moment (only Poundland:( at £1, T was below £1 on one previous offer perhaps two years ago, so £1 is not the lowest price) - msm saying Cif Wood Cleaner is £2.35 or any 2 for £2.00:rotfl: in A. That would (no pun:D:rotfl:) have been very good if mbuy wasn't on msm (rather than just a.com) and if only T was on 'half' price.0 -
