A friend and I are olf to Old Trafford at the end of November to watch United play.
We plan to travel from Exeter, early Saturday monring and come back Sunday.
We dont know wether to go up by Train or Coach. I take it coach will be cheaper? Yet longer?
In the evening we want to visit the night life so want to book a hotel, was thinking a travel lodge?
Is it best to book up now? Will it be cheaper?
Any help / advice would be appreciated
Thank you

Err Exeter and Manchester are still as far as I am aware both in England. This forum is for overseas travel, maybe you would be better posting here.

If you want a travelodge then the sooner you book the better.
There are a couple of Travelodges nearby, a premier inn, and Ibis Budget (cheap and pretty close) and a Holiday Inn Express all within proximity of Old Trafford. Hotels in Old Trafford will generally be cheaper than the city centre but you can get a tram into town and then back again until around 2am I think on a Saturday.Lea

Don't discount flying as an option. Likely to be quicker and not necessarily any more expensive than the train. Last weekend in Nov returns £75 return with Flybe.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Book sooner rather than later.
The Old Trafford Lodge is part of the cricket ground with view over the wicket, half a mile from the football ground and two minutes from the tram station - it has a bar too. You'll notice their prices rise on match day. I'd assume other hotels are the same - higher demand with a chance to sell out.
Use a site like hotels.com / laterooms etc to identify options within a few minutes walk of the football ground or in the city centre. The latter might be more expensive but will be more convenient.
Coach or train? Price it up and decide. I can't make that decision for you.
Bring your shirt too. You might get a game at centre back.0
