Can anyone please help me?

Hi, My partner and i are wanting to get a mortgage but we keep being delcined because of my partners poor credit rating from the past. Does anyone know if there is any way of getting a mortgage. My partner is on a very good wage and now only pays out £40 a month for a loan he has.

Thankyou

Google for "bad credit history mortgage" and a whole load of companies will appear. Some of them may be willing to generously hand you a nice big debt, if that's really what you want...

    Hi
Just wanted to say that after being refused by two mortgage lenders my boyfriend and I were offered a pretty competetive mortgage from Nationwide. I had problems with my credit history which I wasn't even aware of, and they had no problem lending to us.

    Maybe give them a try?

Be very careful when getting the mortgage.

I work for a 'sub-prime' lender who lends to people with a poor or bad credit history.

Instead of the base rate we use LIBOR, and add a percentage on. This rate can change every 3 months and differs to the normal base rate. Although the information is all included in your letters and quotes, it is not very clear and many of our customers don't read it properly - and think that they are paying interest at the percentage that is added on, they don't realise it is that rate plus LIBOR.

Try a comparison website like money supermarket, that should tell you which companies will consider you for a mortgage.
