I`m trying to check interest rates for my very elderly father - he has an account with the Coventry which was called Telephone Saver 2 - but I can`t find it listed anywhere.
Can anyone help - could it have changed it`s name? I can`t search through father`s paperwork at the moment

Closest I can see is this below:

Thanks - but it is definitely `telephone saver 2` - I last checked in February & didn`t have a problem finding it then0

I'd just call them. This freephone number used to work fine 0800 126125.0

you can also register your father for online banking.
Once in, you will find a list of all his Coventry BS accounts and for each of them there is a clear table with current interest rates.0 -
Probably a Callsave account http://www.coventrybuildingsociety.co.uk/savings-accounts/CallSave-Instant.aspx although I'm sure I had a Callsave 2 or 3 account years ago which didn't have a minimum £2k.
Best call them - sure he could do better elsewhere.0 -
I had one of those accounts, they wrote to me a couple of months ago to say they were merging the Telephone Saver (2) with the original Telephone Saver.
The interest rate stayed the same (IIRC, 1.50%), and there were several other changes - nothing bad, from memory. I think the minimum balance needed to keep the account was reduced, as was the minimum withdrawal amount.
Give them a call to be certain, but I think this is what's happened.0
