(If you are desperate to read the whole thing you can register for a free trial using a disposable email address from Mailinator or somesuch)
In response to the heightened media coverage of the issue of private parking [Kelvin] Reynolds [BPA director of policy and public affairs] said: “If motorists believe that parking enforcement is unfair then they should follow the correct channels by appealing to POPLA and not the press.”
"I’m sure that every motorist who returns to their vehicle to find they’ve been issued with a ticket would agree that it’s never a nice feeling, but do they then have to run to the press so the whole world knows?”
So the Bullpoo Purveyors Association now believes it can dictate to motorists who they can or cannot speak to about fake parking fines they may have received. And why would the BPA be so coy anyway about fake fines issued by its own members that it would prefer the press not to know about them? If all is honest, fair and above board then surely they would welcome public scrutiny? Anyone could be forgiven for thinking they have something to hide.
And how exactly is PoPLA the "correct" channel? Has some kind of Correctness Act been passed into law without me noticing?

“If motorists believe that parking enforcement is unfair then they should follow the correct channels by researching on MSE and then appealing to POPLA with a good up to date template."
"I’m sure that every motorist who returns to their vehicle to find they’ve been issued with a fake ticket would agree that it’s never a nice feeling, but do they then have to run to the press so the whole world knows how we support the scammers?”
There I've corrected that for him!

Well for every popla win then a complaint to the bpa and dvla is in order , because popla has just stated it was unfair! So getting thousands of complaints each year will do wonders in getting rid of the vermin. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

I agree Stroma.
It really should be argued that once an appeal, based on a particular car park against a specific PPC, is upheld, then the PPC has no further legitimacy to issue PCNs there.
Now that really would clear up the garbage! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

The Monday Morning Musings - BPA blog - linked to in the article is tear-jerking:

Planet BPAMy very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0 -
I wonder if anything will spew forth from the great orifice over the house of commons debate? From the Plain Language Commission:

Not sure to which 'orifice' you refer, although linking it with the verb 'to spew', suggests it might be the wrong one. :rotfl:Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I can't claim the credit for that, it's something else I nicked from the NoToMob, except they use a slightly stronger word than "bullpoo" (a word not permitted here on MSE)!
The also have a pet name for the CEO of the aforementioned Bullpoo Purveyors' Association: he is Patrick Trousersonfire.Je suis Charlie.0 -
