Car Insurance & Volunteer Work
hello you helpful folk, I'm hoping to get a bit of info and I'm not sure if it should be in this forum or on the insurance one.
Anyway ... I am looking to do a volunteer day in a few weeks that will require me to drive about 50 miles there and back, possibly picking up some other people on the way. I have just heard that my car insurance may not cover this (fully comp, S,D&P).
Does anyone know anything about this before I call my insurer?

First ask the organisation you will be volunteering for as they often have blanket top up insurance for this sort of thing. If you are getting on check max. age it covers you for. My FIL was driving people at 78 but then found out that the hospice insurance only covered up to 75!!!!!0
