Info on Savings rates in 2010

I am making a case for having been mis-sold a savings product in October 2010. I would like some help on 5 year fixed savings rates starting then so that I can compare with what I have been offered. The Financial Conduct Authority have ruled that this product was misleading but I think the level "compensation" is very poor but I don't have any hard facts. Any info much appreciated.

What exactly are you looking for? "5 year fixed rate" could refer to anything -- a rate fixed by Barclays, Santander? A fixed rate offset from the base rate? One set relative to RPI, or CPI?

What product did FCA rule misleading?

It appears to have to do with a Credit Suisse Plan for which people are being offered
1 I am being offered an immediate cancelation, the initial sum/s returned and an AER of 3.85% 'compensation'.

2 Or I can make a complaint based on a supposed loss I have made by not investing in something else.

3 keep it running until maturity.

It also appears the OP wishes to pursue option 2 though it doesn't sound as if they have information to support a complaint.

The closest Ive got to that date is a 5 year fixed rate Isa that I started on 13th April 2011 paying 5% (iirc the non Isa 5 year fix at that time was a similar rate too) with Birmingham Midshires.
