Electric shower problem

The last two days my (pumped) electric shower has felt hotter than it should on my favourite setting.
This morning it felt burning hot. But the next level down felt too cold. So I stuck it out, near the end of the shower it went normal & then it started to go cold.
I'm guessing it's the thermostate?
It's a Triton - pumped electric
Can it be fixed?
It's about 8/9 years old.

Sorry - should have said, it was making a louder than usual noise (I thought) this morning & yesterday.

Just tried it again, it's making noise, but barely a trickle of water is coming out.
It's like the pump part had stopped working. But the pumping part was working this morning?

Mote likely the cartridge has failed. Have you tried cleaning the shower head and hose?
Which specific model is it?

My neighbour had a look inside, its all black.
Bad sign?

When I was in the shower the flow was normal, but hot, then warm then cold.

But now, its not like in the clip, its barely a trickle.
