Going to a theatre this weekend and would like to know what would be the best way of getting into London.
We will be coming down the M40 as after the show which is a matinee we are staying at the marriot in slough.
Any tips on parking in London or park & rides?

1
Park at Slough (£7 ish)
Get an off peak one day travelcard (£13) to cover the rail fare to/from London and travel when there.
2
Park at hotel (£9)
Hoppa bus (£4.50 each way) to Heathrow
Tube (£8.90 one day off peak travelcard)0 -
Further in there's also the Westfield shopping centre £6.50 weekdays £9.50 weekends - this is a special offer and may be temporary
Off the A40 in the White City area. Shepherds Bush tube0 -
You could look at parking at Hillindon tube station which is off the M40 and in zone 6. It would be £2 to park on a Saturday and £1.50 on a Sunday.

A zone1-6 off peak daily travelcard for travel on all London buses, tubes and overground in these zones would be £8.90 per adult. There are no planned engineering works on the metropolitan or piccadilly lines from Hillingdon this weekend.0 -
Similar to above but I was going to suggest Wembley Park tube station. £2 all day Saturday and tube straight into town via Oyster card or 1 day travel card.Just because somebody is certain doesn't mean they are right!0

Thanks everyone. This looks to be quite convenient, are these carparks generally pretty secure?0 -

I haven't heard of any security issues, although they are pay and display. They usually have CCTV and are checked to see if tickets are in date, plus beside busy commuter tube stations.0 -

I am sorry I don't know how busy it would be on a Saturday about middday as it is not local to me. Family who have visited us in London have used it and it seems to be a bigger car park. Usually these out of London car parks are busy weekdays with communters and less busy weekends or in the case of Hillingdon it would usually be busier when a major event is on at Wembley Stadium due to giving a direct tube journey to Wembley. You may want to do some googling.0 -
