Caribbean in November.

Got an option to book a cruise in November to the Caribbean, this is for my wifes 60th Birthday. The cruise is quite cheap, could this be something to do with the weather in November?
I have reasons to believe the weather in Nov for the Caribbean is not very good? Has anyone been to the Caribbean in Nov?
Kind regards Jeff.

Hi
November is at the tail end of the hurricane season, the weather is normally better than September/October but as we all know nothing is a cast iron promise. If it was me I would have no hesitation to go but we all have a cut off point that says "No I do not think I want to risk that" and only you know what that point is.
If you do take the plunge I hope that you and your wife have a great time :0)0 -
December weather is better. We just put a flight package together to the Caribbean(Barbados) for less than £300.
Cruise to the Caribbean? From where?0 -
The package with Thomson Celebration leaves Malaga 15th nov with stops at Gibralta, Tenerife then onto the Caribbean. The price is £1070 each. inc flights. Fly back from Barbados on 30th Nov.0

Not bad with flights to Malaga and out of Barbados included.
Not sure that I would like to be coop-ed up on a ship for that long and to not have the freedom to stay or to go.
But then you get to see a lot of different places inclusive.0 -
While I enjoy a good cruise you may find yourself getting cabin fever between Tenerife and the Caribbean. That's a fair few days at sea.0

don't expect the weather to be great across the Atlantic, you are likely to be indoors more than out.
Repositioning cruises such as this (where the cruise lines move their ships over to the Caribbean for the winter - out Oct/Nov, back around April) are often cheaper per day but do not appeal to everyone. My parents did a sail out and sail back a couple of years ago...35 days cruise and they had 6 days of good weather...they now fly both ways to maximise the time in the sun0 -

Jeff, me and the cook are on that cruise too. It's called Caribbean Quest.
The transatlantic bit has 6 continuous sea days, but Thomson cruises are excellent vfm, and they make sure that there's always plenty going on to stop people getting bored. Keeping fingers crossed for fine weather and a smooth crossing, but weather like a lot of things in life is unpredictable.
Celebration is a relatively small ship, she's an old lady, but very well maintained, the crew are A1, and the entertainment team are West End quality. It's our 3rd time on her.
We've got a month in Bali and Java kicking off in 3 weeks, so I'm not ticking-off the days to 15 November too quickly.
If you've got any questions about Celebration, then fire away. If you haven't then see you on board.:)0 -
Jeff. If you haven't already booked, look NOW on the Thomson website, the full package is £900pp for an Inside Cabin. That's also what I paid when I booked 3 weeks ago.
I also bought the inclusive drinks package at the same time @ £150pp, which for an open bar between 1000-0200 every day is a bargain, even if you're only a light drinker But if you book the drinks package online now it's £399pp, so I'd give that option a miss.
Regarding cabins. A lot of people turn their nose up at the thought of an Inside Cabin. But I can't see the problem, you only use them to sleep in, and they're v.comfortable.0 -

The weather in the Caribbean itself in November is very good - warm and sunny with an occasional shower.
If I was you I'd factor in a few days at a good 3star A1 at the end of your cruise.
I'd recommend https://www.theclubbarbados.com0
