mortgage help for carer with ADHD child?

Can anyone pls tell me if I can get mortgage help as a carer of a child with ADHD thank you.

    it very much depends on your circumstances.
    in order to get support for mortgage interest you need to be receiving an income related benefit ( IR JSA/ IR ESA? Income Support)
    if you qualify they will pay the interest on your mortgage at a rate of 3.63%, but only in the original amount borrowed ( so no loans taken out against the mortgage or equity release)

    Note that the government are researching different ways to help homeowners at risk of repossession and arrears, including replacing it with a loan through a charge on the property. I don't believe there are any changes in pipeline but it's worth monitoring the situation.

    Have a look at the Shelter website for options to prevent repossession and deal with arrears.

    There used to be a scheme, for example, where certain types of vulnerable households could sell their property to a social housing landlord and continue to live there as tenants. I don't know if it still operates as one of the mortgage rescue schemes was scrapped and it's not clear to me which.
