I noticed that Coverwise offer the cheapest single trip travel insurance for only £2.87.
Has anyone had any experience of them? Just noticed they are based in Gibraltar.

How long are you travelling for?
Does such a low premium even cover the cost of your trip for cancellation?
Are you comfortable with their high excesses on the cheapest policy?
On cheap holidays, does the excess mean you haven't even got cover for some key things?
No cover for delayed departure? Nice.0 -

It's a coach trip to Belgium with one of the coach companies, bought through the Co-op travel shop. 4 nights only. I am registered for a free European health insurance card. That all I got but the travel agent wanted to sell their own travel insurance which I declined.0 -
I know this is a bit late but this is one insurer that does not want to pay out. I made a claim and despite three reads not picking up anything untoward in the terms and conditions, a number of exceptions came through on the claim call which led to them rejecting a legitimate claim. I still can't find the clauses they are talking about but they told me they don't cover any of your original costs - they only cover additional ones. Beware. I still can't find these clauses which means I am having to take it further. As a seasoned traveller, their refusal on this basis means that the insurance is as good as useless. Better insurance is available elsewhere at the same price.
Notice all the good reviews on other sites are from people who paid a low price but did not have to claim. I unfortunately did have to claim and I feel more than a little swindled.0
