Praise Sainsburys Bank

Recently my Sainsburys Bank savings account was emptied fraudulently.

I put a small amount each month in a savings account and use it for spending money on holiday. I recently visited Portsmouth and used a cash point at Gunwharf Quays to get some cash from the account. Unknown to me (the cash point was in a relatively dark area ) it would appear a card skimmer had been fitted to the cash point.

So 2 weeks later I went to check my balance prior to another weekend away and discovered I only had £8.49 in the account instead of £400+:eek: Someone had taken the maximum allowable one day and the rest the next day.

I contacted the bank who immediately stopped the card and promised to refund the money. Which they did the same day.

Excellent service. I doubt if they will ever find the perpetrator

Good service, but pretty standard for most banks in my experience.
