Tax credits - fed up

My daughter is 16 but staying in full time education, I had my renewal and noticed they had excluded her. So called them to make sure they knew she was going the 6th form. I was told it was noted on my account and was fine, well surprise surprise, just checked with my bank and the payment tomorrow is half whats expected.
What the hell is wrong with the tax credit department, I calle dthem twice to check this was OK and they knew she was staying in full time education, yet still they get it wrong and I'll have to spend 3 days trying to get them to answer the phone.
And three months waiting for it to be back dated, in the mean time, needing to pay for school clothes and equipment. Tax credits, sort it out. I wouldnt be annoyed if I hadnt called and it was my fault, but to call twice an dbe told its ok is stupid.

Thankyou blondebubbles for explaining, they never told me that, just that they would send a new award notice, I hadnt realised I would be short this week, I hope its sorted for next week or we wont be eating
