Hi everyone. New to this site just wanted to know if anyone knew how long it takes to get indemnity insurance for driveway that is public right of way.? My buyer's buyer's solicitor at last minute decided he wanted this then went on hols!!!!!!! Have signed contract so have my buyers got completion date then after a week of my solicitor trying to exchange found my buyer's solicitor on hols aswell!!!!!!. Got very angry bout this and still am. been 8 weeks now and they know I wanted fast sale as our new build house is ready. Any answers would be gratefully received. Nothing wrong with my house and only 3 in chain with 1st one in rent!!!!

It's something they can get almost immediately.
The solicitor will get a quote as long as the vendors are ok with this they can then inform your solicitors they have this in place.
Your solicitors will just need to make your lender aware they have relevant insurance and place.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 0650 -
Thanks for reply. My buyers are happy with insurance so the solicitor should be getting it this week as they said they were expecting it at the earliest end of last week. Lets hope and probably more waiting.!!!0

How long did it take for them to get the indemnity insurance? I am in a similar situation its been 2 weeks and were still waiting...0

IK92K, as Imwarr21 says it can be done online! We still waiting over 2 weeks now but been told exchanging by end of week!!!!!! Don't believe it though0
