ESA Advice

Hi Guys, I recently received a letter from the HM Courts & Tribunals service stating that they are making arrangements for my ESA appeal to be heard by an independent tribunal.
I am due to sign on tomorrow for my JSA. So my question what happens in the meantime? Can I still claim JSA while I wait for my appeal to be heard? Do I tell my employment advisor at the job centre tomorrow and they will sign me off? Do I go back on ESA until my tribunal?
Any advice will be welcome

I am presuming that you applied for JSA whilst going through the reconsideration period?
Since your appeal is going to tribunal you will need to ask the Job Centre to put you back on ESA. There may be a little delay (computer needs to be updated!) but eventually there should be no gap in payment.

This does not apply if you've missed a medical and payment has stopped due to that, or if payment has been time-limited and you have too much income to qualify for ESA-income-based.
In those cases, you won't get paid any assessment rate until the tribunal.0 -
Thank you both for your answers and for providing me the link. Correct, I claimed JSA during the reconsideration period. Pmlidnyloo do you have any idea how long it takes to process ESA just a rough idea? My JSA took 3 to 4 weeks. If I have to wait for that long again then I may just stay on Job seekers. And finally, I assume I will require a sick note from my Dr to send to the DWP for ES? Thanks again0
