How many people are you cooking for..... kids/adults?
Is this literally all you have or is there a storecupboard, fruit and veg etc?
I can see fajita using the chicken, but do you want to eat that 4 times?!
Sausage,egg,chips
Bacon,egg, chips
Let us know what else you have in...."Put the kettle on Turkish, lets have a nice cup of tea.....no sugars for me.....I'm sweet enough"0 -
Fajitas with chicken and with gammon should taste different. But better to have some cheap options like beans and eggs on toast, frittata with left over fajita mix even if you spend a few pounds now and then fajitas when you come back?0

can i used the fajitas as wraps? i have made savoury cheese and tuna and cucumber there is 2 adults 2 kids veg wise i have carrots sweetcorn onions breakfast is fine(not a breakfast person) kids have cereal enough till we go away lunch trying not to put them into school lunches but think ill have to at least tomorrow (not organised enough) hubby leaves early and gets fed at work so its really just dinners x i have icecream and a few angel delights for pudding
i have run my freezer down to the last few things cause hubby is monthly paid0 -
trying not to do big shop before we go if i just spend a wee bit what would you suggest i buy0

I've used the wraps from fajitas before just for lunches, and vice versa, just bought wraps when I've had fajita seasoning left over.
Could you do a sausage and bean casserole with the link sausages?
If you get some more eggs and can make your own pastry you could use some of the bacon for a quiche.
Lorne sausage, eggs and chips one night, or if you have potatoes, make some wedges (I peel and cut mine, then shake in a bag with a drop of sunflower oil and 2-3 tsp of all purpose seasoning, then just cook in the oven - OH loves these).
Do you have any rice / pasta in the cupboard? If you have the ingredients you could do a curry with some of the chicken breasts. Even just a jar or curry sauce and some basics naan bread with some rice. I do this as an easy 'go to' for me and OH.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Potatoes should keep for a good while if kept cold and dark, and away from onions (they cause them to sprout quicker). I buy either basics ones or find the Oakland ones from Lidl good. I try to get a bag with some big enough to do jacket spuds too.
As a thought, will you have anything in ready for when you get back? I can't stand a long journey home only to find I then need to go out shopping. Could you batch cook something and freeze some portions perhaps?Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16
