Yet again my good lady has managed to download some parasitic crap attached to a game.
I think Pennybee was the culprit and the pup (only know what that means from a net search just now)is an astromeda.com search engine.
I've uninstalled all traces of the 2 items, even had to close down Kaspersky Pure to do this as it's convinced KP that it's friendly.
Searched the net so realise what it is but after trying MS Fixit, Revouninstaller and Adwcleaner I still can't "hit" it:mad::mad:
If anyone can advise I'd be grateful, but be aware I'm not technically savvy in this field and am about at my limit here.
Thanks in advance.

Well it seems by methodically working through all that stuff I had managed to clear it from all but google chrome, simply disposing of that and re loading fixed thing, cheers chap/essesI like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Astromenda is a VERY nasty piece of rubbish. I inadvertently acquired it a while ago on my Windows system and spent a while trying to uninstal it.
In the end I restarted Windows in 'Safe Mode', and was then able to uninstal it - but Astromenda still kept appearing in the internet search box, and I had to clear it from there as well, and restore the normal Google default.
The fact that Astromenda is able to get into your system at all suggests to me that internet security packages see it more as an annoyance than anything else (I have Norton and still got Astromenda dumped on my system)0 -
Pennybee is an unwanted program that can bring into astromenda search browser hijacker. My friend got infected with the astromenda browser hijacker, but luckily he removed it successfully by following a video guide at YouTube and a removal instruction.Do not, for one repulse, forgo the purpose that you resolved to effort.0

Don't know what you had trouble with but JRT is not installed and you only need to remove the download.0 -
You might install malicious software onto your PC. To get rid of Astromeda, you'd better take steps check out the programs that you have installed recently.Do not, for one repulse, forgo the purpose that you resolved to effort.0
