1st post...........I can buy a NAVMAN ICM 520 from QVC outlet for £126, or go for a Medion at Aldi, what should I do, is it any good, is there a cheaper, better alternative? Can I pay a bit more and get one with Bluetooth?
I am a technical Ludite so help/advice would be appreciated.
Thanks, OLZ.

Buy a Tomtom ONE. The NAVMAN has a rubbish interface and the Medion is quite flimsy.

And also price check with Kelkoo.

  • I had 2x TomTom ONE GB Sat Nav Systems for my friend at a local Halfords. £149 it was in Store. The best I've seen & great value. He did not want Europe & stuff, so UK Map was good for him.

just out of curiosity,do you have to buy upgrades for the maps with tomtom or do you get them as a free download once you've bought your tomtom?

  • Depends on the deal inside the Box at the time. 1 had Free Speed Camera (1 Download) free & other had Free 6 months of Road Traffic alerts (or was it 1yr)?

Maps are free for 1yr (UK) to update the new One Way Roads & such (well the box I had was the free year). Best bet is to ring Halfords & see what offer they are doing in the boxes....
