Considering what she's said in the text I'd be more concerned about actually receiving the prize if you won!0

I can actually see both sides of this.
I'm a blogger, and while a blast of traffic is all very nice, it would be frustrating to get a raft of new followers who vanish as soon as the giveaway has finished.
Lots of bloggers host giveaways to celebrate reaching so many followers, blog anniversaries or their own birthdays, usually with the idea of saying thank you to their readers. If I did this, I'd be sorry if the winner was a comper who never visited my site again, rather than a regular reader.
But on the other side, giveaways are a promotion tool. Having your contest shared on a competition forum is a traffic source. Yes, you might gain temporary followers, but some of the people who come for the first time for a giveaway might stay.Debt-Busting and Over-Draft Clearing: £2635 to go!

For that reason, I only enter blog competitions where there's a 'leave a blog post comment' option. It seems a bit unfair to the creator if I follow them on Facebook or Twitter and increase their follower stats purely for more entries when I have no real interest in the blog itself. They might be happy to have a large amount of followers but not realise if a number of them are just there for the giveaways!0
