Hi,
I have just bought a new laptop.It has cd/dvd player.The cd plays fine and cd rom etc.The problem is that when i try and play a dvd it will not play and comes up with thge message about no dvd decoder.The laptop is supposed to have one and i thought the decoder would be working.Does anyone have any ideas please?

Does the laptop come with DVD playing software?
Might be all it needs.When I bought my DVDRW it came with cyberlink multimedia centre on CD. WinDVD is good too.0 -
cheers mate.Imust seem a right plank,i just assumed that coz the cd worked without loading anything the dvd would too.
I have just loaded the disc etc all fine now.
