Questions about what is really impacting my credit rating

I don't disagree, the issue was more that an incorrect entry was placed on the file which would not have helped the application, therefore bit of compo is the least they deserve e.g. if it meant they couldn't get a house or wasted fees for the process.
As The Boss said, it's small fry compared to a mortgage but it's better than a poke in the eye :jSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

We live in a world of compensation which merely results in higher prices for goods and services. May appear clever to the consumer. However the Company concerned still makes it money....0 -
I am just happy that HSBC admitted it was their fault and agreed to remove the marker without any fuss, so all credit to them for that. What is irritating me is the fact that i have had to subscribe to two differnet credit rating websites both of which could take a few months for my rating to be updated, which means I will end up having to pay for this privilege. Also now until the CRA updates I am stuck and not able to progress with a mortgage application.0

We've already said you don't have this rating that you keep mentioning. There's no need to subscribe to the websites. Just order your £2 statutory report from each in 6-8 weeks from now.0 -

Companies throw money at consumers whenever they complain though.
I've received £50 and £150 for two separate issues I wrote to Halifax about but I didn't ask them for any of it.What will your verse be?
