    Your desire to get ahead is very positive and given your general aptitude, I would imagine you could very easily find an interesting and financially rewarding career in the North as well the South.

    Is Salford close by to you - I was thinking along the lines of BBC training courses, usually only take graduates, I believe, But, there must be an equal opportunities programme somewhere in their remit. See BBC Academy courses online and face-to-face. Just an idea.
