Does anyone know, if you have an E-saving product from Nottingham BS do your other passbook based accounts show up online?

I have had accounts with Skipton and Newcastle BS in the past where this was the case.

I think this question has come up once before on another thread last year. No-one seems to have a Nottingham eSavings account on here that could comment as far as I recall. Apply for an eSavings account and see for yourself. All of the Nottingham eSavings account require hefty opening deposits of at least £500 with fairly low interest rates so if you want to open one just for the purpose of seeing if other passbook based accounts appear online with the eSavings account then I would just not send an opening deposit. The eSavings account would then be closed 60 days after it was opened (T&C 3.10: http://www.thenottingham.com/uploadedFiles/static-assets/pdfs/general-t-and-c-esavings.pdf).

My gut feeling by the way (although it would be useful) is that only eSavings accounts would be shown online. That's the impression I get from what I read about the eSavings.

They don't really seem to know when you ask them. The general answer from the CS people is that only eSavings accounts can be accessed online but only one way to find out for sure...

I hold an esavings account and a fixed (postal) account and have done so for many years. Only the esavings account shows online.

  • I spoke with their savings department today concerning another matter. I did ask about this too and was told that the e-accounts are on a different system. No plans mentioned for the systems to be merged .. a pity in my opinion.
