Hi Hun, there are so many of us feeling down at the moment - you are not alone!
Try and concentrate on the positives - what things would you be doing if you were feeling better. Now really think about them and find out exactly what is stopping you doing them. Often, there is no "real" reason for you not to do what you want to do - go for a walk, take a long bubble bath, sit down with a nice coffee, etc - but we tell ourselves we don't have time/energy/ability etc.
A walk round the block, or putting a fave CD on the stereo can give a really quick (and free) boost.
If these still don't help, perhaps another appointment with your GP may be needed to maybe amend/adjust your prescription?Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Morning Poppyjay, so sorry you're feeling so down today. You should be congratulating yourself for many reasons, and here's a few.......you have a family who love you and care about how you feel..........you have cleared 3 debts and thats fantastic.........you have successfully claimed back charges which shows that you have staying power........you are tackling your other debts. Give your self a large pat on the back! It's always easier to see the negatives in life, but take the time to look at the positives that you have going on. Give yourself one small aim for the day, something achievable, then get it done and tell yourself "Well Done Me!" when you have accomplished it. Small steps all the way. Stick with it, stick with your friends on DFW, and you will get through this. Debs xx0

Sorry to read your are not feeling your best, we are all like this at times, but you are not alone, Hypno06 advice is very good as is joe blacks. Take time to look after yourself and perhaps just have an hour to yourself to pamper yourself!DEBT FREE - MARCH 2012 - NOW JUST THE MORTGAGE!

bless - big hug to you poppyjay. it often feels like money issues are taking over our lives and you're very much not alone in feeling down. but as suggested by wiser people than i on here, think of all you've achieved and concentrate on that.
and instead of feeling like you can't talk to anyone, speak to your husband and explain that you feel a bit pants and i'm sure he'll only be fantastically supportive in reply.
also to echo hypno, it's very relaxing to just have a long hot bath with candles, a glass of wine and chilled out music. and then maybe just go to bed so you feel the benefit more.
what sort of things do you like to do to help relax you? maybe a little light run or something? when i feel awful and least like running, sometimes a quick 20 mins around the block (plodding) is very therapeutic, all the endorphins i believe?
sending you a big squeeze!Melt 7 lbs in May challenge - aim to lose 7 lbs

Current weight: 147.7 lbs (10st 7.7/67 kgs)
Ideal weight: 125lbs ish (8st 13lbs / 57kgs) :j - would love to be 8 stone something!!!
Realistic aim: 132 lbs (9st 6lbs / 60kgs) :mad:0 -
Not much else to add as everyone has said wise words. It can seem like a never ending stuggle and can get you down like nothing else can but every day from here on in is a day closer to being debt free, we are all here to support/advise/help you and you can always feel free to have a moan, most of us do that at some point(s). I would though echo what Hypno has suggested and get yourself back to GP's to see if they can help you anymore, even if its not with medication they may have someone you can talk to.
Just remember that you are not alone - you've got the great big DFW family to help you along the way. Have you tried writing to the DCA's and asking that all contact now be in writing, there is a letter somewhere you can send them but you could have a look on the NationalDebtAdviceLine website, I think there is one on there. Also, I don't know if you are with BT but it costs nothing to change your number with them, this might also apply to other telephone companies
might be worth a try anyway and then some of the pressure is gone.
Big hugs and well done on claiming your bank charges back. Once you get in to the swing of things you will find you become stronger and more able to deal with the naty DCA's - knowledge is power.
Don't let yourself get any more down - make an appointment with the GP's before it gets any worse xxxxxx0 -
Hi poppyjay
This will be the third thread you have started in recent days and as much as I sympathise with you, eventually people may get feed up with you doing this. Please stick to just the one thread.
We will do everything we can to help you but in a previous thread you have already been asked to post an SOA (Schedule of Affairs). However, you did not post one and if you do not post your SOA there is very little we can do to help you.

In addition, if you are still feeling depressed and you have been on the same level of medication for at least eight weeks, you must go back to your GP and let them know. They will then either change the type you are taking or increase the amount you are taking. However, it will be up to another six weeks before you will feel any better.0 -
Evening poppyjay
Firstly no one will get fed up of you posting that you are feeling down thats what this board is here for, the ups and the downs :grouphug:
I have started posting on the depression thread on the health and money saving board, everyone is lovely and its somewhere you can be honest.
As others have said do go back and see your doctor too

Poppyjay, you have my heartfelt sympathy. Depression is a dreadful thing. Don't know how long you've been taking medication, but I believe it's usually at least two weeks before they start to kick in.
Money (or the lack of it) is an ever-present black cloud, which most of us have felt oppressed by. Just keep posting if it helps - this community is one of the most supportive around. Take care.Resolution:

You post as many of these threads about feeling down as you want. thats what these boards are here for.
Lets face it if anyone is fed up with your posts they do not need to click on them do they.
