Think, I've answered my own question. lol
Going to meet my MP now, I'll update later.0 -
No, successor or assigns are any company that might 'acquire' APCOA in the future and hence 'inherit' the contract.
Its not current affiliates.Je Suis Cecil.0 -
So had meeting with MP. I found out he is also a lawyer by Trade, which is handy.
Today, he asked what exactly is it that I require from my complaints to be satisfied and how is it that I can see him help me achieve that.
I told him I had sent the Trust a letter with a list of things that I require from the Trust to satisfy the complaint and that any help he could supply in achieving that would be welcome.
I want the DVLA to stop breaching the DPA by releasing RK details at this site and the ICO to uphold the law.
Also said that I would like his help in raising Ombudsman complaints for the 3 Departments, Health Trust, DVLA and ICO.
He said he would write to DVLA, in the first instance.
I gave him copies of lot's of correspondence, having highlighted relevant bits.
He was very impressed with my determination and how thorough I have been.
So I would to thank everyone that has helped so far, especially Baz and Manx.0 -
Fergie, did you get the opportunity to mention your concerns should parking lie prevail in the Beavis case? It would useful if all MPs could be made aware of the implications countrywide if commercial justification where there has been no actual loss could be applied to any alleged contract.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks0

I mentioned it was heard at the COA this week, which he wasn't aware of, but never discussed it more than that, but I think he maybe looking it up.0

Fergie I just want to say you are a bloody star. A real diamond for your determination to see this through.0

Bloody brilliant Fergie, you are a shining example to everyone who gets angry about injustice. I must admit I sometimes get a bit ground down by all this buck-passing petty officialdom and I have to go off and do something else for a while, but you are truly indefatigable!Je suis Charlie.0

just like to add my vote in your favour too, you have plenty of support despite the trolls who have moaned at you, so keep going
it takes something like this to shake em up, you are NOT being unreasonable in trying to get justice this way and if enough people did this the MP,s would rattle the cages as can be seen with the banks etc
great oaks from little acorns grow
I was hoping my MP would get more involved than he has but I dont have an actual beef that he could get stuck into, yet, unlike you
but if I was in the same position (or similar) I would only hope I could do the same as you have done, I certainly would try but feel you have gone to even greater lengths then I could manage, which is praise indeed
I would also like to see the trust forced into adopting the guidelines issued by Jeremy Hunt last summer too (all trusts if it comes to that) , so it would be interesting to see a letter from J Hunt to the trust and then their reply to him , lol
we also need more BB holders (plus diabled non-BB holders) to use the EA2010 to force these types of people and businesses to change, even if you dont in this particular case
anyway , congrats so far , I am sure they regret ticketing said car and its aftermath now0 -
I'm not doing that much here in comparison to fergie, but just to say, I'm going to keep going on this as much as you want.
Keep up the fabulous work. They (DVLA, ICO, BPA, Trust) may have shut up shop, but I bet they're squirming a bit now.Je Suis Cecil.0 -
The other thing that occurred to me yesterday, when I was preparing for MP, is the evolving story of APCOA Parking (UK) Ltd.
First it was we are authorised by the two letters previously mentioned and now its we are all part of the same group. That to me says that they are now admitting that the two letters are not worth the paper the were(n't) printed on and yet DVLA and ICO are hanging to that line.0
