British Gas free loft insulation
I saw the advert on this site for the free loft insulation and £50 gift voucher, so filled in the form for British Gas to call me. They gave me a survey date of 4th November (they must be busy).
There is already loft insulation up there, but it's pretty old and not very thick. Will they just cover the old insulation with new insulation or will they say I can't have it?
Anyone had this done? Should I remove the old insulation as the new stuff will be more better?

They will do the job a cheaply as possible by just laying the new stuff over the old.
Don't bother taking the old stuff out it will be a horrible filthy job & is totally unnecessary.

Its normal to fit the new very thick insulation as your current insulation is probably not up to current standards .
You can remove the old or just leave it but it needs a waste disposal site and is a filthy itchy job .0
